Description
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
Rochester is the beautiful contemporary family-style home, in the picturesque setting of Stone Ridge. It is the home to four ladies and 2 gentlemen, who all have fun-loving personalities and enjoy spending time with staff!
As an employee at Rochester, you may find yourself on a day trip to the YMCA. In the warmer weather, the people who live at Rochester are ready and excited to get outside, and enjoy a boat ride on the river or even a trip to the zoo. An outdoor barbecue, lawn games or spending time in the gazebo are always enjoyed by all!
On days when everyone is inside, staff will find themselves playing board games, or celebrating birthdays!
A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.
HOURS: 28/Monday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm/Friday 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm/Saturday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
STARTING SALARY: $ 18.26 to $ 20.09 per hour, with additional shift differentials as applicable
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred
  • Acceptable NYS Driver's License
  • Computer skills
