We are hiring a market analyst with fast twitch impulses to deliver breaking news audio color on the most impactful developments across asset classes, with a particular focus on U.S. equities. A news 'junkie' or trader will thrive in our environment of journalists and investment professionals.
As a "Squawker", you will have a direct hand in creating stories heard and seen by millions of readers and impacting the industry as a whole. The role involves news gathering, analysis, and a 'leave your ego at the door' attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Broadcast and produce real-time business developments to a professional investor audience for Benzinga's breaking newswire. Topics of interest include earnings, economic news, M&A, IPOs and Wall Street commentary.
- Cover news that is integral to the investment case for a stock.
- Provide color on stock and asset price movements in addition to background on critical news developments
- Monitor hundreds of primary sources of information, market signals and data to break news and provide instant clarity to an active trading audience (portfolio managers, private day traders, prop trading groups, financial advisors et al)
