Job description

Job Title: Sterile Processing Supervisor
Location:
Bellevue, NY
Salary Range: $65,000–$78,000 annually, based on experience
Bonus: 10% annual bonus
Relocation: Assistance may be available; local candidates strongly preferred
Location Requirement: Must live within approximately 30 miles of Bellevue

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Supervisor to support operations at a high-volume hospital account in Bellevue, NY. This position will oversee approximately 8–10 employees and work closely with another Supervisor and the Account Manager to ensure consistent, high-quality sterile processing and surgical support services.

The ideal candidate brings strong sterile processing knowledge, hands-on leadership experience, and the ability to build strong working relationships with hospital leadership and operating room teams.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, schedule, and support a team of sterile processing technicians
  • Oversee daily decontamination, inspection, assembly, wrapping, and sterilization processes
  • Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and reprocessing of surgical instruments, scopes, and equipment
  • Monitor employee performance, timekeeping, overtime, compliance, and quality standards
  • Assist with operating room support, surgical equipment readiness, and post-procedure turnover as needed
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and coordinate equipment repairs and supply needs
  • Serve as a key point of contact for hospital leadership and OR staff
  • Conduct team meetings, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with facility requirements, manufacturer guidelines, and established sterile processing standards
  • Support rotational coverage as needed, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

  • CRCST certification required
  • CER certification preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in an Operating Room and/or Sterile Processing environment
  • Previous frontline supervisory or leadership experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively lead teams in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Must reside within approximately 30 miles of Bellevue or be willing to relocate to the area

Compensation

  • $65,000–$78,000 annually, depending on experience
  • 10% annual bonus
