Positive Steps Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Kingsford, Michigan. Work Environment

This role takes place onsite in our modern rehabilitation center, which features spacious treatment areas, private consultation rooms, and cutting-edge equipment. As part of our team, you will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, maintaining a manageable patient load of one patient per hour. This structure allows you to devote the necessary time and attention to each individual, ensuring optimal treatment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to develop personalized therapy plans that align with their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
  • Implement hands-on therapeutic techniques and interventions, utilizing a variety of modalities to enhance patient recovery.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with patients and their families to discuss progress, set realistic expectations, and encourage adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to share insights and enhance the delivery of care, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on orthopedic conditions. You will engage with patients recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. The role emphasizes a holistic approach to rehabilitation, considering not just the physical aspects but also emotional and psychological support throughout the recovery journey.

Qualifications
  • A current and unrestricted Michigan Physical Therapy license is required.
  • A minimum of a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is mandatory; a Masterโ€™s or Doctorate degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform manual therapy techniques effectively is essential for success in this role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in the management of patient records and treatment plans.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with patients and collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with WebPT or similar EMR systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
