Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ substance abuse and mental health histories to inform treatment approaches.
  • Craft personalized treatment plans tailored to address the complexities of addiction and co-occurring mental health issues.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care and share insights on client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A valid and current license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychologist, or Master Social Worker - Clinical Specialty (MSW - Clinical).
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; however, preference will be given to those with a master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related disciplines.
  • Specialized training or significant experience in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment.
  • A robust understanding of evidence-based practices for managing both addiction and mental health disorders.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a mental health or substance abuse setting.
