ABOUT THE ROLE - Production Lead (3B Shift)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Lead to support day-to-day operations within our aseptic beverage and yogurt manufacturing facility in Penn Yan, NY. This role plays a critical part in coordinating production activities, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting line efficiency across a fast-paced, 24/7 operation. The Production Lead works closely with Production Supervisors, Processors, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth manufacturing from raw ingredients to finished goods.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Execute and communicate the daily production schedule to ensure shift goals are met
• Monitor and support production operations from raw milk intake through finished goods packaging
• Provide hands-on assistance in any production area experiencing staffing shortages or operational challenges
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform startup/shutdown procedures on production equipment
• Coordinate closely with Maintenance to report equipment issues and support timely repairs
• Conduct routine quality checks and escalate concerns to Supervisors
• Ensure accurate completion, review, and submission of production and quality documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior production or manufacturing experience preferred; aseptic or dairy/yogurt experience is a plus
• Demonstrated leadership ability in a fast-paced, team-based environment
• Experience training or mentoring employees strongly preferred
• Ability to read and understand production instructions and documentation
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform basic math and review/verify paperwork
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods
THE SCHEDULE & SETTING
• Full-time role on 1B shift (Days)
• Must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and overtime in a 24/7 environment
• Work is performed in an aseptic manufacturing facility across processing, filling, and packaging areas
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting required
PAY & BENEFITS
Pay Range (Base Pay): Starting at $23/hr
Other Compensation: May include overtime pay and shift premiums based on role and location
