Position Opportunity

The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods while ensuring compliance with all regulations. This role supports operations by maintaining timely deliveries and proper handling of materials.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Obey all federal, state, and local rules and regulations of the road including all DOT operating and recording procedures.
  • Conduct daily face to face interaction with customers, representing Alamance Foods in a friendly, competent, and professional manner.
  • Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections as well as collect invoice receipts that are generated from deliveries.
  • Transport materials and products to other job site locations as required while ensuring all documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), is accurate and complete.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all transportation documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), delivery receipts, and shipping manifests.
Qualifications

Education/Training:
High School Diploma / GED

Experience:
CDL driving experience preferred

Certifications:
Valid CDL Class A license required
Clean driving record required


Knowledge/Skills
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety requirements
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
  • Basic documentation and communication skills

Work Environment
  • Warehouse and transportation environment
  • Exposure to varying temperatures
  • Physical activity required
