Position Opportunity:

As a Driver for Alamance Foods, you will be responsible for completion of daily route as assigned in a timely manner, with safety and production in focus. Obeying all federal, state, and local rules and regulations of the road including all DOT operating and recording procedures. Conducting daily face to face interaction with customers; representing Alamance Foods in a friendly, competent, and professional manner. Duties may include but not be limited to breaking down product, shelf stacking, offloading with electric pallet jacks, performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections as well as collecting invoice receipts that are generated from the deliveries.   

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Obey all federal, state, and local rules and regulations of the road including all DOT operating and recording procedures.  
  • Conduct daily face to face interaction with customers, representing Alamance Foods in a friendly, competent, and professional manner.  
  • Performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections as well as collecting invoice receipts that are generated from the deliveries.  
  • Drivers will also transport materials and products to other job site locations as required while ensuring all documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), is accurate and complete.  
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all transportation documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), delivery receipts, and shipping manifests. 

Education/Training/Certifications: High School Diploma / GED 

Related Experience:  Minimum of 2 years of A Commercial driving experience  

Knowledge/Skills Experience:  

  • Obey all federal, state, and local rules and regulations of the road including all DOT operating and recording procedures.  
  • Conduct daily face to face interaction with customers, representing Alamance Foods in a friendly, competent, and professional manner.  
  • Performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections as well as collecting invoice receipts that are generated from the deliveries.  
  • Drivers will also transport materials and products to other job site locations as required while ensuring all documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), is accurate and complete.
