Job description

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Production Technician at MKS, you will partner with the team to assist in the production of defraction gratings. In this role, you will report to the Supervisor. Manufacturing/Operations.
You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Coating:
    • Experience using Temescal/Telemark ebeam guns and sweep controllers. IC5/IC6 deposition controllers. Building/rebuilding emitter assemblies (need good manual dexterity) Ability to work in cramped or confined spaces. (coating cleans) Metrology experience with surface profilometer, spectrophotometer. Understanding / following SPC charting Lifting - heavy blanks and coating panels
  • Cementing:
    • Generating material pick lists, prepping and washing glass substrates with high level of quality and care.
    • Identifying epoxy and cure types for a variety of products and sizes
  • Take Apart:
    • Handle multiple product sizes performing manual labeling, separation, and dicing of gratings.
    • Perform hand trimming and successful take apart using a variety of take apart fixtures and mechanical tools.
  • Saw:
    • Loads and unloads products onto the dicing saw (1-5 lbs). Aligns the plate using white light. Runs program for requested size. Once program is complete unloads the product. Rise product off with water and blow dry using compressed air. Breaks apart diced parts and label per work instructions.

  • Layout/Inspection:
    • Inspect optics to ensure customer specifications are met Accurately complete required documentation for each job processed Learn to recognize part defects
  • Testing:
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel a big plus. Knowing how to read graphs created and how to manipulate data Attention to detail is a must, verify test data is accurate, ensure (make sure the test data paperwork is correct, alignment of the instruments, &c) Some understanding of metrology equipment a plus but not necessary

Skills you bring:
  • A minimum of one year experience in a production environment
  • Must be able to train on first shift for approximately three months
  • SAP Knowledge preferred
  • Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments
  • Ability to read and carefully follow work instructions are a must
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for producing quality, dependable work.
  • Experience using computer and MS Office
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs

Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $19-21 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
