Mainframe CICS System Administrator

Phoenix, AZ

Onsite (Hybrid)

As a Mainframe CICS System Administrator, you ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients which means some of the biggest in the world.

Location & Onsite Requirement This role requires employees to live in or around the Phoenix, AZ area, and to be onsite 3 days a week. Candidates willing to relocate to the area will be considered.

CICS Administration & Maintenance

  • Install, upgrade, and maintain CICS Transaction Server (CICS TS) environments
  • Apply patches (PTFs), manage version upgrades, and perform regression validation
  • Configure and maintain CICS regions (production, test, DR)
  • Maintain startup parameters and system initialization tables (DFHSIT)

Performance Monitoring & Tuning

  • Monitor transaction performance and system health using tools such as:
    • OMEGAMON / MainView / TMON
  • Analyze:
    • Transaction response times
    • CPU utilization
    • Storage usage
  • Perform tuning to eliminate bottlenecks
