Job description

Location: New York, United States (Office) - Must be able to work office based in NYC
On-Site Full-time
Compensation: $250K - $300K
We are hiring on behalf of our client who operates as the premier, market-leading startup accelerator platform dedicated exclusively to backing, mentoring, and scaling elite Web3, cryptocurrency, and decentralized infrastructure founders.
On behalf of this client, an exceptional, highly entrepreneurial executive is sought to join the leadership team as a General Partner. In this capacity, the successful candidate will assume a pivotal role in mentoring portfolio founders, evaluating and admitting high-potential teams, and strategically guiding early-stage startups through their critical operational, growth, and capitalization journeys from cohort admission through to seed-stage fundraising rounds.
The role is based full-time on-site in New York City to ensure direct, high-touch engagement with incoming startup cohorts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Founder Mentorship & Strategic Advisory: Deliver rigorous, structured feedback and tactical insights to incoming startup teams navigating the accelerator pipeline. Actively guide founders toward establishing product-market fit, structuring growth frameworks, and refining core product strategies.
  • Fundraising & Capital Preparation: Work hands-on with early-stage teams to architecture, refine, and optimize institutional investor pitches ahead of designated Demo Days. Manage investor matching pipelines and provide high-touch support to secure structured seed-stage closures.
  • Admissions Selection & Investment Conviction: Lead formal interview frameworks and thorough evaluations of early-stage applicants. Develop clear investment and admission conviction based on early operational signals, macroeconomic market trends, and technical founder capabilities.
  • Strategic Conflict Resolution: Act as a primary trusted advisor and sounding board to portfolio executives during complex inflections, including product pivots, co-founder equity alignment challenges, and high-stakes operational transitions.
  • Ecosystem Thought Leadership: Author insightful publications, ecosystem essays, and highly analytical content for dissemination across broad distribution channels, including podcasts, professional platforms, and social networks such as LinkedIn and X.

Requirements
  • Proven Founder Track Record: Prior professional experience successfully establishing, scaling, and leading a technology startup as a primary founder or early executive, with a nuanced understanding of the 0-to-1 operational lifecycle.
  • Domain Deep Expertise: Profound structural comprehension and network familiarity within the Web3/Cryptocurrency, Distributed Systems, or Artificial Intelligence sectors.
  • Technical Evaluation & Judgment: Demonstrated analytical capacity to critically assess the capabilities, structural ambition, and strategic vision of technical founders and emerging markets.
  • High Emotional Intelligence (EQ): Exceptional interpersonal capabilities, discretion, and standard of trust necessary to handle sensitive, high-stakes organizational and founder matters.
  • Geographic Location: Absolute requirement to be located in, or immediately relocate to, New York City to enable seamless, in-person operations and advisory frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • Venture Architecture Experience: Track record of deploying early-stage capital or executing successful institutional investments in seed or pre-seed technology entities.
  • Established Capital Network: A highly robust, pre-existing network consisting of tier-one crypto, decentralized infrastructure, or artificial intelligence institutional allocators and angel investors.

Profile Fit & Alignment Considerations
  • Ideal Profiles for This Role: Individuals who view themselves as builders rather than passive managers thrive best within this ecosystem. This career path offers immediate exposure to hundreds of scaling technical startups, direct alignment with a highly elite tier-one investor network, and front-row visibility into the next generation of global financial and decentralized infrastructure.
  • Profiles Unlikely to Align: Candidates seeking structured corporate oversight, heavily balance-focused hours, or isolated remote arrangements are explicitly discouraged from applying. The environment demands high autonomy, intense focus, an uncompromising commitment to excellence, and an active hands-on execution mindset.

Benefits
Benefits
  • Highly Competitive Financial Package: Comprehensive structure consisting of a competitive base salary paired with significant equity allocations/network alignment incentives.
  • Elite Professional Network: Unmatched direct exposure to tier-one venture backers (including Founders Fund, Multicoin, Initialized Capital, Dragonfly) and foundational digital asset founders and global executives.
  • High-Trust Elite Culture: Collaborative operational environment alongside alumni from top-tier technology platforms (such as Meta, WhatsApp, Coinbase, and Y Combinator).
  • Unrivaled Career Acceleration: Strategic positioning providing an immediate springboard toward institutional venture partnership, executive venture operations, or subsequent high-impact startup launch.

Interview Process
Interested executives should prepare for an intensive, multi-stage evaluation sequence designed to assess technical conviction, ecosystem vision, and operational alignment:
  1. Stage 1: Initial Founder / Chief Executive Interview & Alignment Review
  2. Stage 2: Deep-Dive Technical Conviction & Domain Expertise Case Discussion
  3. Stage 3: Executive Operations & Cohort Advisory Strategic Evaluation
  4. Stage 4: Final Executive Board Review & Partnership Alignment
