Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Clearance Requirements:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As the Lead Test Engineer for Tactical Communications, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for providing rapid prototype mission critical solutions to our customer community. The Lead is responsible for overseeing the integration, verification, and validation of complex embedded systems within the Unified Testing Framework (UTF) environment. This role requires expert-level knowledge of testing methodologies, Python programming, and system integration practices to ensure product quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of integration and test engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and direction
  • Develop and maintain the test strategy for embedded products
  • Architect test solutions that effectively validate system requirements
  • Establish best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and test reporting
  • Leading Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) and internal testing assessments with key program stakeholders
  • Design comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of product functionality
  • Develop automated test scripts using Python 3.9+ following GDMS coding standards
  • Implement robust verification and validation methodologies
  • Coordinate integration activities between hardware, firmware, and software teams
  • Establish integration procedures that ensure smooth component interaction
  • Support AGILE implementation
  • Create detailed test documentation including test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Maintain accurate records of test activities and results
  • Ability to develop ROMs in accordance with execution of requirements
  • Conduct Performance reviews per process
  • Accountable for aligning test execution with program schedule requirements and budget parameters to support on-time, cost-effective delivery

  • Expert knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages, Python
  • Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience with hardware/software integration testing
  • Significant experience with test equipment (signal analyzer, signal generator, USRP)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers, project teams across the company and external customers and vendors
