Job description

As an Advanced Test Engineer here at Honeywell, you will lead the design, development, and execution of complex test plans and procedures to validate aerospace systems and components. You will apply your expertise in test engineering to ensure product reliability, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
You will report directly to our Test Engineering Manager, and you'll primarily work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on an onsite work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the successful delivery of high-quality aerospace products by identifying potential issues early in the development cycle and providing actionable insights that drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Execute tests on new product development.
  • Develop and implement advanced test strategies and procedures for aerospace systems and components.
  • Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement to enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure comprehensive test coverage and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 2 or more years of experience in test engineering, preferably within aerospace or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies, instrumentation, and data analysis techniques
  • Experience in Microsoft word, Microsoft PowerPoint etc

  • Experience with aerospace standards and regulatory requirements, such as DO-160C, DO-254, or equivalent
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and simulation environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement processes
