Automation Test Engineer (Selenium + Java + GCP)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Day 1 Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join a high-performing Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Selenium, Java, API automation, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves testing cloud-native, microservices-based applications in an Agile environment with a strong focus on automation, continuous testing, and quality engineering.
Required Skills
* 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles.
* Strong programming skills in Java.
* Hands-on experience with:
    * Selenium WebDriver
    * TestNG
    * Cucumber (BDD)
* Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
* Strong API testing experience using REST Assured and Postman.
* Experience validating RESTful services and microservices.
* Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
* Experience with Git and Jenkins for CI/CD integration.
* Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
    * BigQuery
    * Cloud Storage
    * Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
* Experience testing cloud-native applications.
* Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation.
* Excellent debugging, defect analysis, and root cause analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in Financial Services or Payments domain.
* Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
* Exposure to Shift Left Testing and Continuous Testing practices.
* Familiarity with Jira and test management tools.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium, Java, TestNG, and Cucumber.
* Develop automated UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end test suites.
* Validate backend data using SQL queries.
* Perform API automation using REST Assured and Postman.
* Test cloud-native applications deployed on GCP.
* Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
* Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, business analysts, and product owners throughout the software development lifecycle.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
* Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and drive quality improvements.
* Support continuous testing and release readiness for enterprise applications.
