This shift is from 4:30 am to 12:30 pm.WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?As a 1st Shift Food Quality Control Technician, you will start by ensuring that all U.S.D.A. and S.S.O.P documentation is accurate and up to date. You will conduct tests on seasonings, batters, breading, and marinade solutions, ensuring every batch is consistent and meets our high standards. As products move through production, you will perform random checks on weight, length, and thickness, making sure every item aligns with customer specifications. You will conduct hourly product pickups, metal detection checks, and box weight tracking to maintain strict quality control. Your role will also involve organoleptic testing (cooking and evaluating products) to guarantee they meet taste and texture expectations. You will monitor and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), perform pre-operational inspections, and assist in training backup QC Technicians. Throughout your shift, you will collaborate with the production team and participate in weekly QA meetings to discuss industry developments, customer feedback, and process improvements.IS THIS THE PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU?Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks in a timely mannerExcellent communication skills, written and verbalBasic math skills and the ability to use a calculator for determining percentages and averagesAdherence to quality and safety guidelinesPhysical capability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs in a cold, loud, and fast-moving production environmentExperience in the food industry is preferred.
