ATI is seeking to hire a Quality Specialist to support our Specialty Rolled Products business unit. The preferred work location for this role is Natrona Heights, PA. Washington, PA will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain SharePoint specification review system
  • Process all customer specification review requests
  • Collaborate with Product Metallurgy, Analytical Services and Mechanical Test Labs to determine testing requirements and develop spec codes
  • Process new revisions of society specifications (AMS, ASTM, ASME, etc.)
  • Maintain the current Internal Master Specification System (IMS)
  • Access customer portals for latest specification revisions
  • Maintain the Fixed Flow SharePoint System
  • Complete requests from Engineering for new melt codes and melt code changes.
  • Develop and update Quality Procedures
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of a new Oracle ERP system as it relates to specification review and melt codes (Manufacturing Execution System (MES) - PSI).

Requirements
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree OR four years of experience in a heavy industrial quality or technical focused role

Preferred Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical field

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge Microsoft office products
  • Knowledge of IBM, MES ERP system (PSI), Tandem ERP System, SharePoint Content Management and SharePoint is preferred
  • Time management
  • Organizational skills
  • Internally motivated
  • Ability to work independently or as part of team.
  • Responsiveness to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to communicate with ATI SRP Technical (operating and product development), Sales (domestic and international) and Test Labs as well as others.
  • Knowledge of order entry process, product structure and testing is helpful.
