Job description

A world empowered by autonomy. We build robotic vehicles to improve logistics safety, forge a greener Earth, and enhance human lives.

We are a closely-knit team aspiring to change the world through disruptive technology. We are innovators. We are tinkerers. We are problem-solvers. And we have a fair amount of magic dust up our sleeves. We have a plan for fleet-level deployment of autonomous vehicles, and we are looking for the best-of-the-best to join us in making this a reality.

About Venti Technologies

Based in the U.S. and Asia, Venti Technologies is the leader in safe-speed autonomous logistics systems, developing the future of goods transportation. Using rigorous mathematics, deep learning, and theoretically-grounded algorithms, Venti has a proprietary collection of autonomy technologies including a suite of powerful logistics algorithms. Venti’s proven value proposition of saving costs, increasing vehicle utilization, and improving safety is recognized by customers and driving growth.
Launched in 2018, Venti brings together an unsurpassed team internationally. The company has autonomous systems deployed in Asia for industrial and logistics sites and a growing pipeline. Venti has offices in Cambridge (Massachusetts, USA), Suzhou (China), and Singapore – our Asian headquarters.

Role responsibilities
  • Project & Program Delivery

    • Lead the delivery of technical projects in autonomous vehicle deployment at multiple US logistics sites.

    • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and operations teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.

    • Develop and manage project schedules, budget, resources, milestone delivery, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.

    • Communicate technical progress and challenges into business language for key stakeholders, including senior leadership, clients, and external partners. Likewise translate business needs from customers into technical requirements for the development team.

    • Coordinate on-site support requests, which may include IT/network provisions for the on-site office facilities, supporting staff from the customer like safety drivers, etc.

    • Engage with the customer in regular meetings to present program progress and technical solution design reviews. Manage stakeholder expectations and adapt program plans in response to changing requirements or unforeseen issues.

  • Technical Support

    • Support team members in deployment activities. In lean staffing situations, hands on involvement may be required for managing software validation test branches, troubleshooting on-site problems encounters, with occasional bugfix coding to reduce recovery time.

    • Identify test cases for growing regression test suite coverage, accompanied by specifications for correct essential behaviors.

    • Ensure technical objectives are met to achieve high customer satisfaction while maintaining high standards of safety, performance, and compliance.

    • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in autonomous vehicles and robotics.

Required experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing technical projects in the robotics, automotive, or autonomous vehicle sectors.

  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of complex hardware-software systems.

  • Strong understanding of autonomous systems, robotics, and vehicle integration.

  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Bonus experience

  • Experience in management of production software releases in a customer-fronting role.

  • Strong proficiency in Jira, Zephyr, and the Atlassian suite of tools.

  • Extensive experience with Git, Linux, and Docker environments.

  • Familiarity with robotics middleware such as ROS/ROS2

  • Proficiency in programming languages like C++ and Python, and good OOP coding practice in a Linux environment

  • Experience with logistics or supply chain technologies.

Salary is commensurate with experience. We also offer world-class benefits, fantastic culture, flexible working arrangements, and a great international working environment. Come and join us!
