Trinity College is seeking an Operations and Food Services Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of its food service operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for service quality, team leadership, budget management, and ensuring compliance with food safety, health, and workplace safety standards.

This individual will play a key role in enhancing the daily experience of students, staff, and visitors by maintaining a welcoming, efficient, and high-quality food service environment.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily food service operations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members.
  • Participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Prepare work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and receiving of supplies.
  • Monitor food costs, labor costs, and operational expenses.
  • Oversee cash handling and revenue tracking.
  • Prepare reports and monitor operational performance indicators.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
  • Work closely with school leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, food service, cafeteria management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience supervising and leading teams.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French; English is considered an asset.
