We are seeking a Sr. Marketing Operations Consultant with deep expertise in Marketo and Salesforce to lead client engagements and drive marketing operations strategy. This role combines hands-on execution with strategic leadership, helping clients optimize their martech stack, scale demand generation, and apply AI to modernize marketing workflows.

What You'll Do
Client Collaboration:
  • Engage with B2B clients to understand their business requirements and marketing objectives.
  • Assess, design, and implement effective AI-enabled marketing operations strategies.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Confidently present marketing plans, best practices, and results to clients. Work closely with clients to meet their business needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate with clients and internal teams.

Expertise:
  • Design, implement, and optimize marketing automation workflows to enhance lead generation, nurturing, and conversion processes.
  • Provide hands-on expertise in configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Marketo and Salesforce.com to meet and exceed client goals.
  • Utilize Marketo and Salesforce.com to create advanced campaigns, scoring models, and automated customer journeys.
  • Ability to work with email and landing page templates in an HTML editor to produce your campaigns without developer assistance 90% of the time.
  • Develop and implement data management strategies to ensure data accuracy, cleanliness, and compliance.
  • Generate reports and dashboards in Salesforce.com and Marketo to support business decision making.
  • Experience and comfort level with building Salesforce.com flows, and restricting/ focusing user visibility using views, profiles, and record types.
  • Experience enabling connected multi-channel journeys that integrate with third-party solutions for paid media, webinars, events, data enrichment, and other marketing areas.
  • AI-enabled marketing operations workflow experience.

Best Practices Identification and Recommendation:
  • Provide clients with insightful and actionable recommendations based on data-driven analysis.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of current marketing operations to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct training sessions for client teams on Salesforce.com and Marketo best practices.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to ensure clients can independently manage and optimize their marketing operations.
  • Advanced understanding of marketing automation, lead management, and demand generation processes along with how to operationalize them using Salesforce.com and Marketo.
  • Continued learning with Iron Horse partner platforms to learn about holistic multi-platform solutions and then suggest and implement them for clients (e.g. enabling a use case using Salesforce.com, Marketo, ZoomInfo, Clay, Goldcast, and Demandbase).
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior marketing operations role, with a focus on B2B clients.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Salesforce.com and Marketo (+ HubSpot ideally)
  • Marketo MCE certification is required. Salesforce.com certification is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Demandbase and/or Clay is preferred.
  • Experience using AI for marketing operations and demand generation using Claude, Clay, ZoomInfo GTM studio, and allGood is desired.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Prior agency or client-facing consulting experience preferred

Key Role Details
This position is open only to candidates who reside in the United States and are already legally authorized to work here on a full-time basis. Iron Horse is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas now or in the future.
This position is remote but requires availability during standard U.S. business hours (typically 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your designated time zone). Occasional flexibility may be needed based on team collaboration needs. Periodic travel may be required for team meet-ups, training, or in-person meetings, typically with advance notice.
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 to $120,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, and qualifications. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k), basic life insurance, Flexible Savings Account, Long term and short term disability insurance.
