Job description

About the Role
Do you thrive in leading complex construction efforts where technical coordination, field execution, and accountability directly impact project success? We're looking for an experienced and execution-focused Senior Construction Manager - Division 28 to lead the delivery of integrated security and low-voltage systems across large-scale and mission-critical projects.
In this role, you'll own Division 28 execution from installation through testing and turnover, leading field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll play a critical role in managing access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems while ensuring all multi-trade interfaces align seamlessly.
A key component of this role is ownership of electrified opening coordination and Division 8 integration-ensuring door hardware, power, controls, and security systems function as one fully coordinated system.
From early coordination through final turnover, you'll help drive field execution, maintain accountability, and ensure successful project delivery.
What You'll Do - Lead Execution. Drive Integration.
  • Direct and oversee all Division 28 field activities through self-perform crews, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership teams.
  • Manage Security System Installation
  • Own Electrified Opening Coordination
  • Implement and maintain a structured accountability process to ensure each opening progresses through installation, testing, and turnover without late-stage coordination issues.
  • Maintain accountability for test-ready and turnover-ready system conditions while eliminating execution gaps before commissioning activities begin.
  • Partner with Division 26, fire alarm, IT/network teams, and related stakeholders to ensure integrated system alignment.
  • Monitor workforce productivity, installation sequencing, milestone performance, and project execution progress.
  • Facilitate daily and weekly planning meetings with field leadership and subcontractors to maintain workforce readiness and production flow.
  • Proactively identify manpower gaps, sequencing issues, resource constraints, and execution risks before they impact project delivery.
  • Track installation progress, deficiencies, punch items, and turnover requirements while ensuring documentation accuracy.
  • Assist with integrated system testing, commissioning activities, and final turnover processes.
  • Coach and mentor Foremen and field leadership teams to strengthen organizational capability and leadership development.
  • Maintain and enforce site discipline, safety requirements, quality standards, and company policies across all project activities.

Systems & Infrastructure You'll Support
  • Badge readers, controllers, access management platforms, and integrated entry systems
  • IP CCTV infrastructure, monitoring environments, recording systems, and security management platforms
  • Intrusion detection, head-end systems, and multi-platform security integration environments
  • Power, control, hardware, and security coordination across Division 8 interfaces
  • Data centers, healthcare environments, aviation projects, and highly complex technical facilities
  • Division 28, Division 26, fire alarm systems, IT/network infrastructure, and related trades

What You Bring
  • 10-15+ years of construction experience with significant focus on Division 28 or integrated low-voltage systems
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale or mission-critical construction projects
  • Strong working knowledge of access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and integrated security systems
  • Deep understanding of electrified openings and Division 8 door hardware coordination
  • Experience coordinating power, control, hardware, and system interfaces across multiple trades
  • Strong expertise in system integration and sequence-driven execution
  • Experience leading both self-perform crews and subcontracted workforces
  • Strong understanding of room readiness, release-to-work logic, turnover sequencing, and short-interval planning
  • Demonstrated leadership experience driving field productivity and maintaining execution accountability
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all project levels
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop field leadership teams
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced mission-critical environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • OSHA 30 certification required or strongly preferred
  • Industry certifications related to security systems are a plus
  • Experience within data center, healthcare, aviation, or similarly complex environments preferred

What's in It for You?
  • Take ownership of critical project execution and directly influence outcomes across major infrastructure initiatives.
  • Work on technically complex projects supporting mission-critical environments and integrated systems.
  • Partner with project teams, field leadership, technical specialists, and customers to solve challenging execution issues.
  • Expand your leadership capabilities and help shape scalable field operations.
  • Comprehensive compensation package including benefits, career development opportunities, and long-term growth potential.

Work Environment
This role operates primarily within active construction environments and requires regular standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities require close visual attention for reviewing plans, specifications, field conditions, and project documentation.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
Ready to Lead Complex Security Infrastructure Projects?
If you're energized by leading teams, driving field execution, and delivering highly coordinated integrated systems across complex environments, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help build the secure infrastructure powering tomorrow's projects.
