True North Insights is seeking a Business Development Representative/Senior BDR to join as an integral team member in our continued rapid expansion.

In this role, you will work with the Business Development team to identify, qualify, and build meaningful relationships with clients around the world. Our Business Development team is responsible for identifying True North Insights users within new and existing accounts, as well as growing the relationship alongside our research team. This person will join a growing team that works with some of the largest investment management firms and consultancies in the world, helping to discover our client's business initiatives and acting as the True North Insights advocate.

Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate True North Insights's value proposition across our entire universe of research services
  • Grow and track existing accounts to identify additional opportunities such as new users and upselling opportunities
  • Lead generation: Connect with prospects through strong written and verbal communication
  • Gain commitment for an initial visit or initial call through the end-of-funnel sales process.
  • User acquisition and prospecting strategies
  • Job responsibilities may differ with seniority and experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic background gained in any fully accredited undergraduate bachelor's degree program with a GPA of 3.5 or higher (finance or economics preferred)
  • 1-2 years of professional sales or business development experience
  • Proven sales experience in any field of professional sales; Familiar with selling directly or indirectly in a competitive landscape
  • Charismatic sales personality, with strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Experience at or working with financial institutions or consulting firms
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Good with ambiguity and taking initiative, with agility to make things happen
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills and ability to multitask projects in a fast-paced & changing environment both independently & collaboratively
  • Demonstrable ability to learn quickly and adapt to a growing, fast-paced working environment
  • Positive, motivated, goal-oriented mentality
