Sr. SQL Architect/SME
Louisville, KY

The Senior SQL Architect/SME will be responsible defining the architecture Best Practices and put in place structure to ensure compliance. The consultant will also implement appropriate Change Management and Db Release Management processes, and plan for future scale and performance needs based upon historical data and projected system growth.
Requirements:
Must have 7-10 yrs of implementing multi-terabyte SQL Server Solutions inclusive of SQL best practices & assessment of SQL database performance & the identification of problem areas within SQL Server database (MS 2008 & 2008R2)
Broad knowledge of SQL Server database definition, design, and configuration
Implement SQL RDBMS process improvement with focus on database design and hardware performance improvement and testing.
Must have SQL Server Hardware Selection (including high availability options)
SQL Server Environment Upgrade/Install/Configuration
Performance Assessment
Maintenance Plan Review/Install
Document and manage projects utilizing internal system and procedures
High level support to provide DB assistance for any specific database server issues and/or performance inquiries including:
Server implementation and configuration
HA/DR design and configuration
SQL configuration and performance monitoring a plus
Database Tuning
Database Security
Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective communicator (sales oriented in approach).
Good writing skills & ability to multi task in the support of this project
