Job description

The SQL Server Database Administrator is responsible for configurating, maintaining, monitoring, and implementing code for the delivery center's Microsoft SQL Server databases. The DBA will ensure the availability of the assigned databases and provide support for optimizing database performance as well as providing support to streamline database release activities.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor SQL Server databases
  • Monitor the health and performance of the database
  • Monitor, enhance, and automated routine processes
  • Configure and maintain SQL Server database processes
  • Identify and resolve database issues
  • Provide support to application development teams through application performance reviews and enhancement suggestions
  • Proactively identify enhancements to streamline database processes and procedures supporting the goals of the organization
  • Support application development teams through database enhancement and code deployments
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production databases

Qualifications
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other computer related role.
  • 5 years' experience as a MS SQL Server Database Administrator
  • 3 years' experience in performance tuning
  • 3 years' experience with backup and restore functionality
  • Good organization, time management, and communication skills
  • Strong team player
