  • Shift: 10-hour day shifts
  • Shifts Per Week: 4

  • Call Requirement: Heart call coverage with approximately 10-15 call shifts in a 6-week period; 30-minute response time
  • Setting: Cardiovascular operating room with hybrid room support

Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility
  • Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
  • At least 1-2 years of general nursing experience preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • NIH certification required
  • Dysrhythmia exam required
  • Strong understanding of perioperative nursing and cardiovascular surgical workflows
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, high-acuity cardiovascular operating room environment
Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients
  • Assist with CABG, valve procedures, carotid cases, femoral popliteal procedures, and vascular bypass surgeries
  • Support TAVR, TCAR, EVAR, and TVAR procedures in hybrid room and cath lab environments
  • Circulate and coordinate care for complex surgical cases while maintaining patient safety
  • Monitor sterile technique, surgical flow, and patient status throughout the procedure
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Float to the main OR when cardiovascular cases are not scheduled
  • Respond to heart call coverage needs within the required time frame
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a busy cardiac and vascular service line
