Job description

Job ID: [Not Provided]

We’re seeking an interventional radiologist to provide locum tenens coverage at a hospital in Springfield, Ohio. This is an inpatient, clinical-plus-call role that begins June 15, 2026 and will continue on an ongoing basis. Typical weekday hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with night and weekend beeper call as part of a seven-days-per-week call rotation. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Planned coverage dates (examples of initial shifts):

  • Jun 15–18, 2026 (8a–5p)
  • Jun 24, 2026 (8a–5p)
  • Jun 29–Jul 3, 2026 (8a–5p)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide in-person interventional radiology coverage for adult patients.
  • Perform general community IR procedures, with an emphasis on biopsies and oncology-related interventions.
  • Manage an average daily case volume of about 15–25 patients.
  • Document care in Epic and work with PACS.
  • Participate in the established overnight and weekend beeper call rotation.

About the practice and facility:

  • Small, well-supported radiology team: two physicians in practice with a full support staff.
  • Departmental resources include two dedicated rad rooms.
  • The hospital sees roughly 80,000 ER visits annually.
  • EMR: Epic; imaging: PACS.

Required qualifications:

  • Board certified in Vascular & Interventional Radiology.
  • Active Ohio medical license and DEA registration.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • NPDB report as required by credentialing.

If you’re comfortable doing a broad range of community IR procedures with a strong emphasis on biopsy and cancer care and want a well-supported locum assignment in Springfield, this could be a great fit.
