What you will do
Under direct supervision and local mentoring, the BEST Sales Intern - Fire will support their assigned local market by assisting sales efforts and learning the end-to-end sales process within Johnson Controls' Fire business. This role is designed to provide hands-on exposure to sales operations, customer engagement, and proposal development in a real-world, fast-paced environment.
How you will do it
  • Partner with your manager or a sales associate to complete assigned tasks that support sales growth and customer satisfaction
  • Attend customer meetings, internal meetings, and events to observe, learn, and gain exposure to the sales process
  • Assist with developing sales proposals and supporting presentations delivered to prospective customers
  • Work with customers and internal teams to close out open invoices and support payment collection activities
  • Update and maintain sales records, documentation, and reporting with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Observe and learn best practices for closing deals throughout the sales cycle
  • Communicate with vendors and clients at the direction of your manager
  • Conduct research and compile survey or market data to support sales initiatives
  • Assess progress toward sales targets and assist with reporting results to the team

Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in engineering, business, or a related field
  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) throughout the summer

  • Availability to work part-time during the Fall and Spring semesters
