The Sales Event Intern assists in event planning and execution with the Hersheypark Group Sales team. The Sales Event Internship will provide hands-on experience with facilitating on-site events, acting as a liaison for small and large groups, providing excellent guest service, and being immersed in the Hershey destination.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
  • Providing support to Events Manager by participating in group sales event planning and execution.*
  • Participation with onsite group sales events.*
  • Answering telephones, fielding questions, and processing event details.*
  • Providing accurate information regarding HERSHEYPARK as well as Destination HERSHEY to customers.*
  • General office duties include printing signage, merging contracts and managing spreadsheets*
  • Hersheypark related duties as a Sales Duty Manager such as welcoming clients & customers to the picnic area at Hersheypark, collecting picnic admission tickets, providing general Hersheypark information to guests. *
  • Processing Group Orders for Call Center support*
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior in college or graduate student in an MBA program majoring in Business, Hospitality, Communications, or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • The ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

Job Demands:
  • This internship will last from February 15 2027 - May 2027 (with the ability to work seasonal weekends).
  • Must be willing to work 1-2 weekends a month including both Saturday and Sunday throughout April and May.
  • The selected candidate's work schedule will occur during typical business hours Monday - Friday, and will be flexible based off their spring semester schedule.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
