Job description

The Cleaner/Spotter of an Environmentally Friendly Lapels Plant is responsible for ensuring the overall production quality and profitability of garment cleaning.ย We typically look for a Cleaner/Spotter with three (3) years of industry experience, who not only has prior knowledge of running a Dry Cleaning Plant but is also open-minded to seeing the benefits of using the Lapels program and systems of production.


At Lapels, a Cleaner/Spotter will daily be responsible for such items as:

  • Professional Spotting - including recognizing the type of stain and either pre-spotting or post spotting that garment
  • Running dry cleaning loads
  • Finishing of garments
  • Overseeing finishers & pressers to ensure quality work at profitable production levels
  • Overall control of work
  • Sorting of garments to proper stations throughout Plant
