Job description

This positions main focus is wash bay duties, with backup Trailer Spotter duties.

If you are looking for an entry level position or part time hours, we offer a flexible schedule in a position where you can help maintain the image of the Dot Transportation fleet. This position will also train you to become a backup Trailer Spotter

WHAT YOULL DO

    • Washing of Trucks as well as interior and exterior of Trailers
    • Light Interior detailing of trucks
    • Keep wash bay clean and in good working order
    • Safely and efficiently move trailers throughout the truck yard
    • Slides tandems effectively to meet state bridge laws
    • Weigh loaded trailers
    • Inspect and perform basic maintenance on spotter tractors
    • Perform lot and/or yard checks
    • Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

YOU MUST HAVE

    • Ability to pass physical abilities test to meet standards of job
    • Sufficient hearing and vision necessary to operate powered equipment safely
    • Safe driving record
    • Experience in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment

YOU MAY ALSO HAVE

  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree.
  • A commercial drivers license (CDL)
  • Professional truck driving experience

ROLE SPECIFICS

  • Schedule: Part Time- Hours will vary based on business needs. 15-32 Hours/Week on average
    • Schedule days/times flexible for wash bay duties
    • Spotter schedule is dependent upon fill-in needs
  • Youll be working indoors and outdoors throughout the year and will be exposed to harsh weather extremes.

Pay Scale/Range: $18.16 - $27.25
