Since 2006, our solutions have been leading the way in sports performance software, science, and data, in a world where 1% can literally mean the difference between winning and losing.

We work with over 5,000+ teams around the world, empowering coaches, managers and trainers in premier teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, EPL, AFL, NRL, NCAA and more. We provide the information they need to optimize athletes' health, game-day readiness, and performance, as well as in-game tactics.

We deliver health, performance, video, and AI insights from the locker room to competitive environments, ensuring every decision is an opportunity to gain an advantage, sharpen performance, and build lasting success.

WE WANT PEOPLE WHO ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT SYSTEMS AND QUALITY

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Systems Integration QA / Team Lead to oversee end-to-end quality assurance for our live sports video capture and multi-angle video playback systems. This role goes beyond traditional software testing; you will lead QA across video inputs, hardware, network components, mobile client devices (iPads), and our desktop capture applications. You'll work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Systems Engineering, and will be expected to spend time on-site with customer-facing colleagues to validate our solution under real-world conditions, including testing of performance, networking conditions, resiliency/failover, and operational workflows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Systems & Field Validation

    • Lead soak, stress, latency, and reliability testing in environments that mirror stadium/field deployments
    • Conduct on-site verification sessions with customer-facing colleagues, capturing real-world usage patterns, connectivity challenges, and workflow friction
    • Translate field findings into actionable engineering tickets and QA improvements

Strategic QA Leadership

    • Own the test strategy and quality culture across video inputs, encoders, networking, video capture, backend services, client apps and field devices
    • Build and maintain a scalable QA device lab, including video inputs, cameras, encoders, networking, desktop applications and devices, to test a range of setups based on real customer usage
    • Define and oversee test plans for individual components and full integrated system flows

Cross-Team Collaboration

    • Partner closely with Product Management to align test scenarios with real coaching workflows, and multi-user performance requirements
    • Work with Systems Engineering to configure and observe behaviour and performance with different network conditions and configurations
    • Collaborate with Developers and Support teams to instrument logs, expose timestamps, and build tools to support QA, automate setups, and review system health

Device Automation & Metrics

    • Define quality metrics for video, network and system performance
    • Establish a repeatable regression and release validation pipeline, including pre-deployment reliability gates based on real team usage scenarios
    • Define/create tooling to automate setup, configuration and health checks of environments
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • 5+ years in system integration test roles, or in video streaming, broadcast tech working with high-concurrency systems
  • Proven experience testing hardware and software integrated platforms: including video pipelines, encoders, mobile clients, and network infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of network fundamentals
  • Experience designing/operating a device lab with high device concurrency (e.g., 20+ tablets concurrently testing playback or streaming)
  • Ability to design test plans for failure scenarios: including hardware, network etc failures
  • Comfortable being hands-on with physical gear: plugging switches, flashing iPad builds, reading encoder diagnostics
  • Exceptional communication skills: capable of representing QA insights directly to Product and Field teams with clarity and urgency
WHAT YOUR SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE
  • In 6 months time: You will have developed a comprehensive understanding of our Thunder and Focus Live gameday solutions, confidently navigating and validating their end-to-end system workflows.
  • In 12 months time: You will have successfully overseen quality assurance through a full gameday season, demonstrating a solid command of both current and upcoming infrastructure systems to drive continuous reliability.
WHY CATAPULT?
  • We have amazing people. We promise you'll work with some of the most ambitious, intelligent people in an exciting industry, and do some of the best work of your life.
