Job Title: Junior Video Editor and Camera Operator 

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Hours: Full-Time. Coverage of Hurrdat Sports may require occasional travel within Lincoln, Omaha and the state of Nebraska and will require hours that extend beyond the typical 9-to-5 that may require some weekends 

Salary Range: $44,000.00-$48,000.00 per year

We were founded in Lincoln, Nebraska as a small team of two in 2010, offering social media services to brands and athletes. After a decade of growth later we have grown to be a uniquely well-rounded marketing and advertising agency with in-house media, sports, entertainment, and film divisions. 

Mergers and acquisitions over the years (with B2 Interactive, Disconnected Media, Digital Hero Films, Victory Fighting Championship, Hail Varsity, and Parkville Media) have grown our team to over 150 people. 

We serve over 200 clients who collectively operate in 8 countries, including 43 states in the United States. Our clients range from local businesses just starting to build their brand and online presence to enterprise organizations. 

About the role: 

We are seeking a junior video editor for various sports within the state of Nebraska that may include but is not limited to, the Huskers, UNO, Creighton, professional sports organizations within Nebraska.  This position will take instruction on execution of video projects from the senior Video Editor and Sports Director. This position will also help with social media asset editing and various other projects.. This position reports directly to the Hurrdat Sports Director 

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to): 

  • Working closely with Hurrdat Sports team (senior video editor, sports director, social media strategist and content creators) to create and execute various multimedia elements for Hurrdat Sports social channels 

  • Create new ideas for video projects for the Hurrdat Sports social channels and website 

  • Production of this content may include portions of the production or the entire production depending on Employee’s ability and capacity to do such. 

  • BTS footage of events the team covers 

  • Secondary camera operation on larger production shoots 

  • Edit of some video project 

  • Creative direction on some assigned projects 

  • Other tasks as reasonably requested by Company 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Proficient in professional video editing applications  

  • Ability to collaborate with clients/co-workers on various needs/projects  

  • Ability to conduct highly-organized, detail-oriented work  

  • Must have flexible schedule  

  • Must have strong interpersonal skills/networking  

Preferred Experience 

  • Photography experience is strongly preferred.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud 

  • Adobe Premiere 

  • Adobe Audition 

  • Basic Camera and Video Production Knowledge 

Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check. 

Working Conditions and Physical Effort: 

  • Work is normally performed in a typical office environment. 

  • Will lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds using safe and proper lifting methods.
