United Sports and our affiliated sports brands are expanding our freelance creative network. We’re looking for reliable photographers and videographers to cover tournaments, recruiting camps, and combines 
Our affiliated brands include United Sports, YSC Sports, Sideline Soccer Solutions, Flag Football Life, Premier Sticks Field Hockey, and United Lacrosse. 
We offer project-based opportunities across three different roles. Applicants may be considered for one or multiple roles based on their experience, equipment, and portfolio. 
AVAILABLE ROLES: 
LIVE EVENT CONTENT CREATOR:

Captures and edits professional photo and video content on-site for use while an event is still happening. This role is best suited for someone who can work quickly, recognize important moments, and produce polished content in a fast-paced sports environment. 
Responsibilities may include: 
  • Capturing professional photo and video content throughout the event 
  • Editing and delivering selected photos and video clips in real time 
  • Creating quick-turnaround vertical videos for social media 
  • Capturing action, celebrations, athlete features, crowd reactions, sponsors, vendors, and behind-the-scenes moments 
  • Using techniques such as speed ramps and time ramps when appropriate 
  • Following an event content plan while identifying spontaneous moments worth capturing 
  • Coordinating with the on-site event and marketing teams 
Applicants should be comfortable shooting with a professional camera, editing quickly on-site, and delivering content throughout the event.

EVENT CONTENT CREATOR:

Captures a combination of professional photo and video content for delivery following an event. This role focuses on creating a polished library of marketing content rather than providing live coverage. 
Responsibilities may include: 
  • Capturing action photography, goals, celebrations, team and player moments, awards, and the overall event atmosphere 
  • Filming vertical and horizontal video clips for social media, websites, advertisements, and future promotions 
  • Editing and color-grading selected photos and video clips 
  • Following a creative brief and required shot list 
  • Organizing and delivering all content by the assigned deadline 
  • Providing original-frame or uncropped versions when requested 
Applicants should have experience capturing both photography and video using a professional camera.

PHOTO CONTENT CREATOR:

Focuses specifically on professional event photography and delivering a complete edited gallery following the event. 
Responsibilities may include: 
  • Photographing game action, athletes, teams, coaches, spectators, awards, sponsors, and venue details 
  • Capturing a mix of close-up, wide-angle, candid, and environmental images 
  • Editing and color-correcting selected photographs 
  • Delivering social-media-ready and uncropped versions when requested 
  • Organizing and uploading the final gallery by the assigned deadline 
  • Sports photography experience is strongly preferred.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Professional camera equipment appropriate for sports and event coverage 
  • A portfolio demonstrating relevant photography or videography experience

  • Ability to follow creative briefs and meet assigned deadlines 
  • Comfortable working independently in active, fast-paced environments 
  • Availability for some evenings, early mornings, and weekends 
  • Willingness to travel when an assignment requires it 
  • Dependability once an assignment has been accepted 

COMPENSATION: 
These are freelance, project-based opportunities with predetermined rates. The rate, schedule, location, expected deliverables, and travel requirements will be provided before each assignment is accepted.
