Volunteer Position - Sports Coaching Assistant
About the Program
Are you a high school student who loves sports, teamwork, and helping others? UFIT (University of Fitness Information and Technology) invites motivated students to join our Volunteer Sports Program - a hands-on opportunity to support school sports and physical education activities while developing real-world leadership and coaching skills.
This volunteer role is ideal for those passionate about youth development, fitness, and community service.
What You'll Do
As a Volunteer Sports Coaching Assistant, you will:
  • Support lead coaches during PE classes and after-school sports program
  • Help facilitate warm-ups, drills, and organized games for elementary and middle school students
  • Promote positive play, inclusion, and teamwork among students
  • Learn and practice basic sports instruction and behavior management strategies
  • Model enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and respect both on and off the field

What We're Looking For
  • Genuine interest in sports, fitness, or working with youth
  • Dependable, respectful, and eager to learn
  • Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with staff and peers
