Ticket Sales Intern (Paid – Seasonal)

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders
 

The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders are seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Ticket Sales Interns for the upcoming season. This paid, part-time internship provides valuable hands-on experience in professional sports sales while working within a fast-paced Minor League Baseball environment.
 

Ticket Sales Interns will assist the RailRiders’ ticketing department with day-to-day sales operations while gaining exposure to group sales, fan engagement, and revenue-generating initiatives. This role is ideal for college students interested in pursuing a career in sports sales, business development, or sports management.
 

Responsibilities
 

  • Assist the ticketing department with ticket sales initiatives and outreach efforts
  • Support the sales team with group ticket sales and promotional packages
  • Make outbound calls and emails to potential customers and community groups
  • Assist with lead generation and sales tracking
  • Help manage incoming ticket inquiries and customer questions
  • Provide excellent customer service to fans and clients
  • Assist with game day ticket sales and fan engagement activities
  • Support ticket sales staff with administrative and operational tasks
  • Maintain accurate records within ticketing and CRM systems

Qualifications
 

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in sports management, business, marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in sales, customer service, and the sports industry
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn ticketing and CRM systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Sales Experience
 

Previous sales experience is not required. Training will be provided.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to learn, communicate with fans, and gain hands-on experience in sports ticket sales.
 

Internship Details
 

  • Paid, part-time seasonal internship
  • Internship runs for the duration of the RailRiders baseball season
  • Schedule will include game days, weekdays, evenings, and weekends
     

Physical Requirements
 

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during games and events
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
