All About the Security Officer Role

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting Belmont Park's guests, team members, property, and assets. This role helps maintain a safe and orderly environment by monitoring park activity, patrolling designated areas, and supporting security operations during daily park activities and special events.

Security Officers serve as visible ambassadors of safety while also providing helpful guidance and support to guests throughout the park.

Your Role at Belmont Park

As a Security Officer, you help ensure Belmont Park remains a safe and enjoyable place for everyone. Through active patrols, monitoring entrances and exits, and supporting event operations, you play a critical role in maintaining safety, enforcing park policies, and assisting guests when needed. Your presence helps protect the park while also delivering a welcoming and professional guest experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Safety & Security Operations
  • Patrol park grounds and assigned areas to monitor activity and help maintain a safe and orderly environment
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to ensure proper access and prevent unauthorized entry
  • Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or policy violations
  • Ensure the security of doors, gates, windows, and other access points throughout the property
  • Warn individuals of rule infractions and take appropriate action in accordance with park policies
  • Assist with incident response and emergency situations following established safety procedures
Guest Interaction & Support
  • Greet guests entering venues or event areas in a friendly and professional manner
  • Verify tickets, wristbands, badges, or credentials when required for attractions or events
  • Provide directions, information, and assistance to enhance the guest experience
  • Circulate throughout the park to maintain safety and provide visible support to guests and team members
  • Escort guests, employees, or visitors when necessary to ensure safe access to locations
Event & Venue Support
  • Assist with event preparation and operational support during park events
  • Help manage guest flow and monitor entrances and exits during high-volume periods
  • Support end-of-event procedures, including securing areas and assisting with venue closing tasks
  • Assist with collecting and storing event equipment when needed
Policy Compliance & Team Collaboration
  • Follow and enforce Belmont Park policies, procedures, and safety regulations
  • Maintain awareness of security procedures across different venues and events
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding incidents or concerns
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support park safety and operations
