Job description

Sternberg Automotive Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Parts Director to join our teams in Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky.ย  The ideal candidate will oversee our various parts departments, including International Truck, Ford, Chevrolet, and Stellantis.ย  The Parts Director will focus on customer satisfaction, inventory management, and team leadership, ensuring operational excellence and contributing to the overall success of our dealership group.ย ย 

Responsibilities:

Supervision of all aspects of the parts department, including inventory control, ordering and distribution.

Lead, train, and motivate the parts team to achieve performance goals and maintain high customer satisfaction.ย 

Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.ย 

Develop and implement strategies to optimize parts sales and profitability.

Collaborate closely with service and sales departments to support dealership operations.ย 

Monitor market trends and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.ย 

Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports related to parts inventory and sales.

Requirements:

Proven experience in automotive parts management within the automotive and/or heavy truck industries.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Knowledge of inventory control software and process.

Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.

Knowledge of inventory management software and dealership operations is preferred.ย
