Job Summary:
Cayuse Holdings is seeking an Open-Source Specialist to support critical operations focused on IED/bombing prevention throughout the United States. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting vital information, monitoring various open-source channels, and ensuring effective communication of time-sensitive data.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Collection and passing of open-source information specifically related to IED/bombing prevention.
โ€ข Monitoring a variety of open-source information such as online media sources, specific company news feeds, news media channels, social media, online group/chat discussion boards, and other particular websites for information relating to IED/bombing prevention activities/threats/trends.
โ€ข Pass information from one shift to the next, collaborate and share information that is vital to critical infrastructure, key resources, warning and reporting, and answering requests for information as it specifically relates to IED/bombing prevention.
โ€ข Perform triage on questions, issues, or events relating to IED/bombing prevention.
โ€ข Evaluate current information and develop responses to critical information requirements.
โ€ข Maintain knowledge of known and suspected IED/bombing activities/threats/trends.
โ€ข Use information collected to analyze and write/prepare concise reporting IAW with customer guidelines and direction.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s Degree in a related discipline such as Homeland Security or Business.
โ€ข Additional two (2) years of experience with an Associateโ€™s Degree may be substituted for a Bachelorโ€™s Degree.
โ€ข Additional (4) four years of military and/or operations environment experience with a high school diploma may be may be substituted for a Bachelorโ€™s Degree.
โ€ข Experience in open-source information collection, preferably with a focus on IED/bombing prevention activities/threats/trends, cyber threats, emergency management, communications, or critical infrastructure.
โ€ข Expertise research, analysis, and writing skills with the ability to perform triage on questions, issues, or events in a time sensitive environment.
โ€ข Knowledge and experience in IED/bombing prevention activities and lexicon, open-source monitoring and alerting, professional report writing, all source analytical research and use of databases and systems, such as TRIPwire and Dataminr, in unclassified and classified environments.
โ€ข Knowledge of one or more critical infrastructure sectors (as defined by HSPD-7 and the NIPP) and/or emergency management.
โ€ข Ability and experience to quickly and effectively respond during high-tempo mission critical/crisis operations. Understands Microsoft Office automation solutions.
โ€ข Active TS/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain DHS Fitness.
โ€ข Must have between three (3) and five (5) years of related experience.
โ€ข Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain and maintain DHS Fitness.
โ€ข Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
โ€ข Shall have the requisite skills, expertise, and experience to perform the requirements of each task.
โ€ข Must be extremely detail-oriented and well organized.
โ€ข Must have proficient skills using Microsoft and Google Suite Products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and be able to learn new software as the situation dictates.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to provide necessary attention to solve different level problems with some supervision.
โ€ข Broad expertise in research, analysis, and writing skills and be able to perform triage on questions, issues, or events involving the nation's Critical Infrastructures, Cyber and Key Resources.
โ€ข Familiarity and understanding of known cyber threat actors and ransomware variants.
โ€ข Ability and experience with Special Handling Caveats and use of Traffic Light Protocol (TLP).
โ€ข Ability to use Mission Operating Environment (MOE) system, Remedy, and Service Now.
