The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. Be the Face of KLA Technology at Our Customer Sites Worldwide

At KLA, our Product Installation Engineers (IEs) are the critical first connection between our customers and their new, highly advanced equipment. This role is instrumental in shaping the customer's first-and lasting-impression of KLA products, services, and technical excellence.

As a Product Installation Engineer, you will lead the ontime installation and qualification of complex capital equipment, ensuring smooth handoff, predictable cycle times, and a successful warranty start. You'll represent KLA directly with customers, taking ownership of installation performance and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are completed on schedule and meet quality standards
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
  • Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership
  • Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process
  • Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time
  • Secure warranty signoff on newly installed tools

How You'll Work:

  • Operate independently while following documented procedures, exercising sound technical judgment within defined guidelines
  • Work under guidance from managers and senior IEs, with increasing autonomy as experience grows
  • Engage effectively in crosscultural and crossfunctional environments
  • Extensive travel domestically and internationally to support customer installations worldwide

What You Bring (Qualifications):

  • Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electromechanical, and electrooptical systems
  • Experience with highvacuum systems strongly preferred
  • Comfort working with computer systems, operating systems, and networking (Windows, Unix, or similar environments)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
