Job description

MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local client are NOW HIRING for a 1st Shift Operations Lead – Parcel Sortation in the Hebron, KY area!

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (hours may vary based on business needs)
Pay: $18.25/hour

Position Overview
The Operations Lead – Parcel Sortation is responsible for overseeing daily parcel operations and ensuring efficient workflow throughout the parcel lifecycle. This includes label creation, parcel sortation (Panda system), staging, loading, dock management, and shipment readiness.
This leadership role is responsible for maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards while holding team members accountable for performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in warehouse or logistics operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily parcel operations, including label creation, sortation, staging, and dock loading
  • Assign work and ensure accountability across all stages of the parcel process
  • Supervise and support associates to ensure productivity, quality, and safety expectations are met
  • Conduct Gaylord audits to ensure shipment accuracy and outbound readiness
  • Manage dock operations to ensure parcels are scanned, staged, and loaded on time
  • Monitor parcel service performance and communicate operational updates to management
  • Identify workflow issues and collaborate with support teams to resolve operational concerns
  • Enforce company and site safety procedures while promoting safe work practices
  • Address quality, safety, or productivity concerns and implement corrective actions when needed
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and service performance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment experience
  • Prior leadership or team lead experience preferred
  • Experience in parcel sortation, dock operations, fulfillment, or warehouse logistics strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and frequently up to 75 lbs
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and accountability skills
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
