About SHIFT

SHIFT is Cellevates signature somatic movement experiencea music-driven journey designed to help people move energy, reconnect inward, and access a deeper state of presence through rhythm, repetition, and embodied expression. Blending movement, stretching, energetic release, and guided somatic exploration, SHIFT creates a powerful class experience that moves through activation, surrender, intensity, softness, and flow. This is not dance choreography or traditional fitnessits a guided practice with a heartbeat.


Position Overview

Were seeking a powerful, grounded, and emotionally intelligent SHIFT Instructor to lead transformative movement experiences that help participants get out of their heads and into a deeply embodied state. This role requires someone who can confidently hold space, guide energy, lead a room through waves of activation and release, and create an experience that feels both powerful and accessible.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead immersive SHIFT classes through music-driven somatic movement journeys
  • Guide participants through rhythmic movement, repetition, stretching, energetic release, and embodied exploration
  • Create safe, intentional spaces where participants feel empowered to move freely without performance pressure
  • Use voice, presence, pacing, and energy to guide participants through peaks, drops, softness, and activation
  • Foster connection, emotional safety, and community within the class environment
  • Offer modifications and accessibility for varying comfort and movement levels
  • Maintain the integrity of the SHIFT experience while embodying Cellevates mission and culture
  • Curate or follow music that supports the energetic arc of class
  • Arrive prepared, professional, and aligned with studio standards
  • Participate in required SHIFT training, practice sessions, and ongoing development
  • Collaborate with leadership on class quality, flow, and participant experience


Training & Certification

All SHIFT instructors are required to complete Cellevates proprietary SHIFT training program before independently leading classes. This training is designed to ensure each instructor fully understands the methodology, structure, facilitation style, class flow, and energetic principles that define the SHIFT experience. While prior movement, somatic, yoga, dance, or facilitation experience is highly valued, all instructors must be willing to learn and embody Cellevates specific approach.


Ideal Candidate

  • Background in somatic practices, movement facilitation, yoga, dance, embodiment work, breathwork, or related modalities
  • Experience confidently leading groups through experiential or movement-based practices
  • Strong ability to command a room through presence, authenticity, and grounded leadership
  • Deep understanding of rhythm, energy, and emotional intelligence
  • Passion for embodiment, healing, movement, and human connection
  • Comfortable facilitating experiences that may feel vulnerable, cathartic, or transformational
  • Open, coachable, and excited to learn Cellevates proprietary SHIFT methodology
  • Willingness to complete required in-house training and ongoing development
  • CPR/AED certification preferred
  • Relevant certifications or movement training are a plus
