Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Intelligent Transportation Systems Solutions Engineer to join high-impact a high - impact engineering team advancing next - generation transportation technologies . This role is located in McLean, VA through 100% full onsite presence . The ITS Solutions Engineer will lead projects at the intersection of intelligent transportation systems (ITS), connected & automated vehicle (CAV) technologies, V2X deployments, & advanced traffic management, translating stakeholder needs into deployable solutions that shape the future of mobility & roadway safety. Responsibilities of the ITS Solutions Engineer include: Lead ITS, CAV, and V2X technology projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget & technical objectives Oversee deployment, integration, & evaluation of advanced transportation systems, including automation technologies, traffic management solutions & connected vehicle applications Serve as the primary liaison with partners translating stakeholder needs to actionable system & program requirements Support business development activities, including proposal writing, client engagement, opportunity identification, & technology transfer strategies Prepare & deliver technical documentation, reports, & presentations while ensuring compliance with ITS standards Guide teams through risk identification, mitigation planning & quality assurance across multi-stakeholder transportation technology initiatives Qualifications of the ITS Solutions Engineer include: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Transportation, or related field 7+ years of experience in ITS or transportation technology 3+ years of project management or technical leadership Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder ITS/CAV/V2X projects Strong understanding of ITS architectures, CAV/V2X systems, emerging mobility technologies, & systems engineering principles Proven business development experience, including opportunity identification, partnership building, and supporting proposal development * Active Public Trust clearance
Compensation for the ITS Solutions Engineer includes: * Salary: $95,000-$125,000 depending on experience * Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan, Holidays, PTO, sick leave as required by law
