We're looking to grow our PMO Team at NLS!

Are you ready to lead complex, high-impact projects in a dynamic and growing organization? As a Project Manager III, you'll independently drive medium to large-scale implementations from inception through delivery, partnering closely with clients, internal leadership, and external vendors. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, a mentor to your project teams, and a champion for continuous improvement across NLS's Project Management practice.

In this role, you'll own the full project lifecycle—managing scope, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder relationships—while bringing a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to every challenge. If you're an experienced PM who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and loves developing the people around you, this is your next move.

We know you care about benefits and perks—feel free to scroll down to check them out, then come back to learn more about the role!

What You'll Do:
  • Lead client interactions by clarifying needs, managing expectations, and ensuring solutions align with business goals, while leveraging tools and technology, including AI, to improve team efficiency and decision-making.

  • Lead, mentor, and coach project teams of 15 or more resources, with a proven ability to guide 20+ member teams.

  • Oversee and lead all project planning efforts including requirements, scope, staffing, scheduling, risk management, and contingency planning.

  • Organize, coordinate, and lead onsite, customer-facing meetings with the support of your project team.

  • Manage day-to-day project activities including stand-ups, team communications, task tracking, scope and schedule mitigation, risk management, and roadblock resolution.

  • Create and regularly monitor project schedules, scope, budgets, risks/issues, and action items while implementing corrective actions to keep projects on time and within budget.

  • Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, documenting team updates, blockers, and action items and distributing post-meeting notes.

  • Create and facilitate project meetings focused on status reporting, problem resolution, feedback, and fostering open communication across all phases of the project.

  • Lead the issue resolution process and drive issues through to completion.

  • Create and report schedule, budget, and delivery updates to project stakeholders.

  • Maintain and distribute project management deliverables including status reports, meeting minutes, issue logs, and all other relevant project documentation.

  • Facilitate weekly project status meetings, including preparing PowerPoint status reports, documenting meeting notes, and tracking action items.

  • Prepare for and help facilitate regular stakeholder meetings with NLS Leadership and customer stakeholders.

  • Participate in Duck Creek partner program meetings by communicating project status, risks, and reference status.

  • Proactively drive creative approaches to problem-solving and timely delivery in support of business needs.

  • Coordinate, facilitate, and document sprint, milestone, and project reviews while implementing best practices.

  • Facilitate the 360 feedback process for project resource evaluations during annual reviews.

  • Lead the project closure process, including decommissioning of VMs and hardware, removal of project distribution lists, and completion of project closure documentation.

  • Coach and mentor PM I and PM II level team members as needed.

  • Assist in the PM interview process, including independently leading one-on-one interviews.

  • Support the training and onboarding of new Project Managers.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Computer Information Systems, Insurance and Risk Management, or a related field; Master's in Project Management or related field preferred.

  • 5–10 years of Project Management experience, including 1–5 years managing technical or insurance-related projects with teams of 15 or more.

  • Certification in at least two Project Management-related areas; CSM and Advanced Scrum Master, ACP, or SAFe preferred.

  • Proven experience leading Agile projects; subject matter expertise in Agile and Scrum methodology required.

  • Experience managing large project budgets in the $1M–$5M range.

  • Experience managing complex project schedules spanning 12–18 months.

  • Proven experience managing and controlling scope on medium to large projects, including direct change control management.

  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office 365 products required.

  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, ADO, and Microsoft Project.

  • Proven ability to lead onsite, multi-day customer-facing meetings.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Strong presentation skills with emphasis on organization and attention to detail.
