Role:

A Common Area essential duty is to maintain our Tropical Resort up to standards. To ensure the smooth operation of the department and working as a team, they are expected to deliver excellent service to our teams and our guest, to have a memorable experience during their stay here at Tahiti Village with us.


Responsibilities:

  • Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts in proper uniform, including nametags and with a great Smile.
  • Seize radio and assignment sheet every morning
  • Utilize specialty equipment complying with all safety and procedural guidelines.

  • Polish, restore, seal, finish & maintain all flooring.
  • Complete high dusting of ceiling vents, wall decorations, etc.
  • Use various machines scrubbers (ride-on and walk-behind), burnished, floor machines, vacuums
  • Operate hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned work areas.
  • Use proper techniques and equipment when moving heavy furniture to clean the area underneath.
  • Remove all rubbish from trash containers and transport to proper disposal.
  • Properly use and dispose of chemicals when conducting area cleaning.
  • Conduct bio-hazard clean-up
  • Replenish common area supplies or amenities
  • Maintain rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas clean
  • Empty and cleans ashtrays
  • Carry radio and respond promptly to requests
  • Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards
  • Utilize power wash to maintain all property walk ways clean
  • Demonstrates customer services by consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service and exceed guest expectations
  • Perform property walks to ensure trash and debris are removed
  • Turn in radio and worksheet at the end of the day
  • Ensure preventive care of equipment and supplies
  • Turn in radio and a filled out worksheet at the end of the day
  • Must be able to maintain mobility and work in varying temperatures (Indoors and Outdoors)
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule according to the occupancy levels
  • Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of previous experience working on floor surfaces using buffing and including scrubbers or similar equipment.
  • Working knowledge of chemicals/ cleaning supplies including Safety Data Sheet and OSHA regulations
  • Ability to communicate via two- way radio
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and Holidays
  • Background Check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to bend, kneeling and stretching most of the working day
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Able to work in areas containing dust, second hand smoking, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration and air quality
  • Must be able to operate equipment
  • Must be able to frequently crouch, push, pull, squat, kneel and for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
