Job description

The Best Western Corte Madera Inn has an immediate need for part time Room Attendants. Candidates must be able to work weekends and holidays, may also be called to work weekdays as needed. The cleanliness of the hotel, linens and guestrooms is a key to meeting our hotel quality and guest standards. Thus, attention to every job detail is very important to the success of the hotel and achieving and exceeding job performance requirements. The Room Attendant cleans guest rooms by stripping beds and bathroom of dirty linen, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing bathroom, remaking bed, replacing towels, bathmat and shower curtain, and replacing all amenities, etc. The Room Attendant reports anything in the guest room that needs repair and/or replacement. The Room Attendant is helpful and friendly to guests, reports any found item left by guest to Executive Housekeeper or front desk as soon as found. This position is required to work weekends and holidays during your regular scheduled days.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Must be able to arrive to work on time when scheduled.
  2. Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles.
  3. Must be able to communicate and understand supervisor and coworkers in English.
  4. Must be able to read and identify correct product labels for the correct purpose and machines.
  5. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position: constantly stand and walk up to 6-8 hours a day; climb stairs; repetitive and constant grasping/gripping, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; and frequent stoop, kneel, and bend up to 5-7 hours a day; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or squat up to 2 hours a day, ability to lift, carry and move constantly 11 to 29 pounds, frequently 30 โ€“ 49 pounds, and occasionally 50 -75 pounds, push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 150 lbs. intermittently (2-3 hours a day).
  6. Vision requirements: must be able to constantly (6-8 hours a day) need to see small details (close vision) and things clearly beyond armsโ€™ reach (distance vision), color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  7. Hearing requirements: must be able to constantly (6-8 hours a day) hear and talk.
  8. Must be able to keep up with the demands of the department.
