Solar Installer Technician – Join Our Renewable Energy Team
Pay: Competitive, based on experience


We are seeking a motivated and skilled Solar Installer Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of residential and commercial solar energy systems. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.


This role is ideal for candidates with prior trades, solar, or electrical experience who are comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in a fast-paced field environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site assessments to evaluate installation feasibility, including shading, orientation, and structural integrity
  • Install and secure solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and related electrical components according to plans and specifications
  • Run and connect wiring systems in compliance with electrical diagrams, codes, and safety standards
  • Test, commission, and verify system performance to ensure proper functionality and safety
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation or performance issues efficiently
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and system configurations
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols, especially when working at heights and with electrical systems
  • Communicate professionally with customers to explain system functionality and answer questions
  • Collaborate with team members to complete installations on time and to quality standards
  • Support training and development of junior team members when applicable


Qualifications:

  • Solar installation, electrical, or related field experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
  • Hands-on experience with solar panels, inverters, and racking systems preferred
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools used in construction or electrical work
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required


Preferred (Not Required):

  • NABCEP certification or other solar-related credentials
  • Experience mentoring or leading small crews


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and elevated platforms
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
