Job Description

The Inventory & Logistics Supervisor oversees outbound shipping, inventory control, and Quality Control (QC). This role ensures operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, shipping compliance, and adherence to company quality standards. This position plays a critical leadership role in maintaining workflow accuracy, preventing losses, driving process improvements, and ensuring on-time shipment execution while supporting cross-functional communication across departments.


Key Responsibilities:

Outbound & Logistics Operations

  • Review and assign daily workload from NetSuite.
  • Ensure shipments are processed accurately and within shift deadlines.
  • Monitor BOL creation and compliance documentation (HazMat, International, etc.).
  • Track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively resolve exceptions.
  • Ensure carrier documentation is complete and compliant at the time of shipment.

Inventory Management

  • A team-oriented approach with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proactivity
  • Accurately represent on-hand inventory systematically and physically through regular quality control (QC) practices, intra-company transfers, inbound/outbound shipments, warehouse bin locations, and integrity of inventory systems.
  • Analyze low stock and slow-moving inventory.
  • Develop and implement loss prevention strategies.
  • Coordinate return reconciliation and product disposition processes.

Inbound Operations

  • Supervise receiving activities and ensure accurate product intake.
  • Verify documentation, quantities, and product condition upon arrival.
  • Coordinate inventory reconciliation for inbound shipments.
  • Ensure timely system updates and proper inventory allocation

Quality Control Oversight

  • Supervise the QC team and ensure adherence to inspection procedures.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of errors, damages, and discrepancies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce claims and errors.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Supervise shipping, inventory, and QC team members.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to management when necessary.
  • Plan and assign daily tasks and confirm completion.
  • Provide reporting of inventory transactions, team metrics, and quality control.
  • Execute project deadlines on time while holding cross-functional teams accountable for deliverables.
  • Train team members on SOPs and compliance requirements.
  • Promote accountability, urgency, and accuracy.
  • Identifyoperational gaps and implement process improvements.
  • Evaluate daily operations with a continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in logistics, warehouse operations, and/ or inventory management.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of shipping compliance (domestic & international).
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
