Job description

Sargent Electric Company (www.sargentelectric.com) is a nationally recognized electrical contractor with deep Pittsburgh roots. We are looking to hire a talented SOLAR SITE PROJECT MANAGER to support our De Pere, WI office.  The primary responsibility of this position is the successful supervision and management of construction activities, in the safest possible way, for multi-million-dollar solar projects. This position is an on-site assignment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
  • Review and understand the terms and conditions of project contract requirements.
  • Full understanding of the scope of work to be performed.
  • Successfully manage project budgets, schedules, resource and workforce allocation.
  • Oversee and manage subcontractors.
  • Participate in project coordination meeting as required by the client.
  • Make timely decisions and direction to ensure project success.
  • Support and enforce all safety programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor proper utilization/management of Company-Owned and rented equipment.
  • Direct supervision of project site team including General Foreman, Yard Manager, Safety, QA/QC and other required site staff.
  • Development and updating of all project schedules and other management reports.
  • Develop site construction methods and practices.
  • Support all Company training and employee development activities and provide appropriate input and feedback, as necessary.
  • Ensure that all work meets the highest standards of workmanship, and that all work and materials are in compliance with project specifications and drawings.
  • Assume additional duties and responsibilities as delegated by the management team.  
SKILLS:
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
  • Utilize innovative and effective leadership techniques to maximize employee and project performance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or project leadership experience successfully completing multi-million-dollar construction projects.
  • Have a good working knowledge of computers and basic software applications.
