Overview:

The Community Solar Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for subscribers and prospective customers, delivering exceptional customer service through account support, program education, and issue resolution. This role manages customer communications, billing inquiries, and account-related activities while ensuring compliance with program requirements and data privacy standards. Working collaboratively with internal teams, utility partners, and stakeholders, the Coordinator supports customer retention, fosters positive customer relationships, and helps ensure a seamless customer experience across PureSky’s nationwide community solar portfolio.

Key Responsibilities: Community Solar Services & Support
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for community solar inquiries, delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders, current subscribers, and prospective customers. Support customer onboarding, engagement, and retention efforts.
  • Coordinate customer enrollment, contract administration, and subscriber account management processes.
  • Support customer outreach, education, and communications, ensuring consistent messaging and timely resolution of customer issues and program updates.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, utility, and company requirements related to customer data, privacy, and communications.
  • Coordinate customer communication campaigns, marketing initiatives, and program updates in partnership with internal teams.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and internal processes.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to help achieve Community Solar program goals and service objectives.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to all customer inquiries, including billing and account payments.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of monthly customer bills and communications.
  • Assist customers with account reconciliation, payment issues, and billing discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve billing and collections issues while maintaining accurate account records and supporting accounts receivable reporting.
  • Ensure billing and collections activities are completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Minimize risk by maintaining data accuracy, safeguarding customer information, and adhering to established controls and processes.
  • Support customer retention through proactive communication, issue resolution, and a positive billing experience.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of applicable work experience.
  • Two (2) or more year’s of progressive experience in customer service, sales, and/or administrative roles.
  • Tech-savvy, experience utilizing CRM systems, HubSpot preferred, and data processing.
  • Superior communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Experience with customer service, billing, collections, and contractual compliance.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, must be able to manage timelines.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work remotely without constant supervision.
  • Positive attitude, and passion for renewable energy.
  • Experience working with sensitive and personally identifiable information.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States and travel through the US and Canada
  • Bonus Qualifications: Experience with community solar; experience with New York Community Solar (CDG) regulations (DERS) a plus; HubSpot; Alteryx.
