Job Description:We are seeking an outgoing, passionate individual who loves to sell. The Business Development in territory sales will spearhead our sales efforts with our existing customers, new customers and cultivate lasting relationships (B2B and B2C). In this role, you will be responsible for meeting with clients in person, educating them about our services, and guiding them to make the best decisions. The Business Developer will report weekly and provide ongoing updates for new business opportunities and existing business, as well as market research on what the status of the territory is. Your success will be based upon generating new business opportunities through consistent daily in-person calls to customers and developing long-lasting business relationships.
Selling: The BDM sells (this includes making follow up calls) five days a week minimum (3-5 hours per day) throughout Butler County and the surrounding areas. Sales Goals and Objectives established along with commission payouts. Weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual sales goals to meet.
• Travel daily, 5 days a week, with most of the time spent on in-person, outside sales calls.
• Grow the business by identifying new sales and business development opportunities.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients so that the business can maximize the value of those relationships.
• Identify key contacts at potential Referral Partners to establish and foster relationships.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients, showcasing the value proposition of our services.
• Understand the problems and challenges of clients and address their needs.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to retain existing clients, identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
• Provide excellent service to maintain a positive reputation for the business.
• Resolve any customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Set revenue targets and develop and execute a strategy to meet them.
Management: The BDM should spend about 10-15 hours a week (2-3 hours each day) in the office performing the following duties:
- Manage the cleaners and or supervisor/s.
- Responsible for Scheduling all of the work and over sight of its completion.
- Scheduling commercial projects and houses
Qualifications:
• Proven track record of success in sales, with experience in in-person cold call sales. Roofing, Solar, B2B, B2C backgrounds are preferred.
• Must be comfortable making cold calls and dealing with customers face to face, while demonstrating good listening skills, poise, tact, and diplomacy
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build rapport with customers
• Results-driven attitude and a self-starter. Motivated to make that "One-Last call"
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities• Uncompromising honesty and integrity, along with a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism.
• Devotion to high-quality customer service.
• Keen analytical and research abilities.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Outgoing and customer-oriented attitude.
• 2+ years of experience in a sales role.
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation and auto insurance
• Must have cell phone and be able to use it for phone calls, text messages, email, pictures and GPS
• Must be computer literate and familiarity working with Microsoft Suite.
