This role is ideal for a hands-on business developer with strong Canadian market experience who can prioritize the highest-impact opportunities and drive deals from qualification to close. This is a national role requiring travel to customer sites and our offices. The incumbent can work at our Vancouver/Mississauga/Montreal locations. Key responsibilities * Develop and execute a pragmatic, high-impact national go-to-market plan for BESS that targets priority segments where the company can capture the best return on effort * Build and maintain a qualified pipeline and sales forecast; concentrate efforts on the highest-value opportunities to meet or exceed annual targets * Lead end-to-end commercial processes: opportunity qualification, customer value proposition development, collaborate with supplier partners, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation with support from internal stakeholders * Monitor federal and provincial energy policies, incentives, and market mechanisms affecting BESS deployment; translate market changes into actionable sales strategies * Establish and nurture relationships with key external stakeholders: C&I customers, municipal/provincial authorities and suppliers * Track and report sales metrics (revenue generated, margin, pipeline value, bookings) and progress against targets to senior leadership * Share leads internally with the team for effective and efficient execution of opportunities * Participate in industry events and working groups to generate leads - support regional sales teams and internal stakeholders to grow organizational BESS capability Qualifications & Experience * Degree in a related field (electrical, power, sustainable/renewable energy systems) * Minimum 5 years of direct experience in the BESS/Solar/EV markets, or related energy sector business development roles. Experience selling into  large commercial/industrial customers is required * Demonstrated track record of winning BESS or energy project contracts and managing complex sales cycles * Strong understanding of BESS technology * Familiarity with Canadian federal/provincial incentive programs * Strategic thinker with the ability to prioritize opportunities that deliver the best return on investment and align with company capabilities * Excellent financial acumen and experience building business cases * Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills * Highly organized, self-motivated, able to drive complex deals to close in a dynamic environment * Eligible to work in Canada and willing to travel as needed Nice-to-have * Bilingual (English/French) * Existing relationships with large C&I customers * Experience offering support and technical expertise to first nation communities across the country What We Offer:  * Our employees enjoy a positive work- life balance while thriving in an environment that is dynamic and motivated by new and exciting challenges. * Rexel does not use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to make final hiring decisions.
