Job description

Overview

At KPMG in Canada, our people bring their unique perspectives to Canada’s most important challenges. Here, you can build momentum that reaches beyond our business, develop skills for the future, and take ownership of your career with support at every stage. Join a firm where your career can make a difference.

Are you a talented leader with a proven track record for motivating teams and delivering exceptional client service?

Our Cloud & Software Engineering team is looking for a professional like you with the skills and drive to make a real difference.

What you will do

As a Senior Manager, Software Delivery and AI-Accelerated SDLC Growth Lead, you will play a senior market-facing role with a strong digital, technical and functional foundation. You will help originate and sell digital and AI delivery and modernization opportunities, shape client solutions, lead executive conversations, and provide technical oversight for delivery teams.

This role is designed for a leader who can move comfortably between client development, sales, solution design, delivery governance, and hands-on technical discussions. You will be based in Toronto and work closely with our Montreal-based delivery team as part of a single national practice. To support collaboration, team-building, and planning activities, occasional travel to Montreal, approximately twice per year, may be expected.

  • Build and manage a pipeline of software delivery, modernization, and AI-accelerated SDLC opportunities with Toronto-area clients.
  • Lead client conversations, discovery workshops, demos, proposals, solution shaping, and executive presentations.
  • Position KPMG offerings around software delivery transformation, custom development, cloud modernization, DevOps, and responsible Gen AI adoption.
  • Translate client business problems into practical delivery approaches, technical solution options, estimates, and commercial proposals.
  • Support statements of work, delivery plans, staffing models, pricing inputs, and risk assessments.
  • Provide technical oversight across delivery engagements to help teams maintain quality, security, client alignment, and delivery momentum.
  • Partner with Montreal delivery leaders and technical teams to connect market demand with delivery capacity.
  • Coach managers, senior consultants, and consultants on client development, technical storytelling, solution design, and delivery excellence.
  • Stay current on industry and functional trends, including emergence of solutions that are relevant for KPMG clients.
  • Stay current on modern software engineering, AI-assisted development, platform engineering, cloud, DevOps, testing automation, and SDLC transformation trends.
  • Represent the team in internal account planning, alliance discussions, market development activities, and client-facing thought leadership.

What you bring to the role
  • 12+ years of experience in digital transformation, software delivery, application modernization, technology consulting, solution architecture, or related fields.
  • Strong technical foundation across project delivery, cloud platforms, architecture, DevOps, APIs, integration, data, security, and production operations.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce, content management (CMS), customer data platforms (CDPs) and / or marketing platforms (‘Martech’) would be an asset.
  • An appreciation of User Experience (UX) design, as well as the role of qualitative and quantitaive research as a contributor to digital delivery would be an asset.
  • Experience selling, shaping, and originating technology consulting work, including proposals, estimates, statements of work, and executive presentations.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary delivery teams and managing senior client stakeholders.
  • Practical understanding of AI-assisted software delivery, Gen AI tooling, responsible AI adoption, prompt patterns, engineering automation, and AI-accelerated SDLC practices.
  • Highly polished and practiced presentation skills, with the ability to represent KPMG to senior stakeholders with credibility and grace.
  • Ability to explain complex technical topics in clear business language and connect delivery choices to client outcomes.
  • Strong commercial judgment, relationship-building skills, and ability to identify follow-on opportunities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, GitHub, Azure DevOps, modern application frameworks, or enterprise delivery platforms is an asset.
  • Ability to travel for business and client purposes as needed.
  • English fluency is required; French is an asset.
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • AWS, Azure, Adobe or Google Cloud certifications would be an advantage.
