Test and Evaluation Engineer IILocation: Offutt AFB, NEMinimum Clearance Required: Top Secret with SCI eligiblity This position is contingent upon contract award.   This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance with SCI eligibility. U.S. Citizenship status is required, as this position necessitates an active U.S. Government Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens are not eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations, and illegal drug use. As a Test and Evaluation Engineer II, you will be responsible for supporting IT test activities by developing test plans and methodologies, executing both manual and automated tests, and documenting results. The role applies engineering techniques to analyze complex issues, assess test environments, and ensure accurate and thorough evaluation of software releases. Who You Are and What You Need:Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.Experience supporting IT test and evaluation activities, including developing test concepts, methodologies, and detailed test plans.Demonstrated ability to execute tests, analyze data, and produce thorough technical reports and documentation.Proficiency in applying engineering techniques to evaluate complex problems and assess test environments.Experience creating or converting manual tests into automated test scripts and supporting automated test orchestration.Ability to review and assess the quality and adequacy of test results and conclusions.Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions and work independently on complex tasks.Ability to manage testing across multiple releases and resolve schedule conflicts.Hands-on experience documenting and executing test scripts. What You Will Do:Provide technical and engineering support for AFLNWC-NCC and major IT Test and Evaluation (T&E) to include but not be limited to:Documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational testing.Independently prepare (or advise others in the preparation of) criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates test plans, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise.Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problem, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and complexity.Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks.Devise new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned task with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness. This will include converting initial software tests into automated test scripts for consistency and repeatability.
